As it steams toward the start of production next month, Disney's Jungle Cruise is picking up passengers. To be more accurate … villains!
Jesse Plemons is the latest addition to the cast, according to Variety. He will portray one of the film's villains. News on the adventure movie has been flying fast and furious lately, so let's sum up what we know so far.
Is this really based on the Disney Parks attraction?
Yes. The attraction can be found at most Disney Parks, simulating a calm riverboat cruise that allows guests to enjoy seeing a variety of Audio-Animatronic jungle animals on the trip. Just as rave reactions are coming out of the premiere of Black Panther, another upcoming Marvel movie has just debuted its first trailer. Ant-Man and the Wasp is the follow-up to 2015's Ant-Man (with some residue from the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, as well) and promotes Evangeline Lily's character to full superhero status, herself.
This first spot reminds us of what we love about the previous movie, a combination of humor and action and humorous action (a Hello Kitty Pez dispenser is the new Thomas the Tank Engine), while also making us excited for what the Wasp brings to the table in terms of a more serious toughness -- plus wings and blasters! She and Ant-Man are quite a pair.
Watch the trailer and then find out more about the movie... Read More

He's portrayed Walt Disney, now Tom Hanks will take on another children's entertainment icon. According to Variety, the actor will play Fred Rogers in a biopic about the late kids' TV show host. You know Rogers best as "Mister Rogers," whose Mister Rogers' Neighborhood debuted in an early form on Canadian television in 1963 and later moved to PBS where it continued airing new episodes through 2001.
Hanks is certainly a good fit for the part, considering his reputation as the nicest guy in Hollywood. Picture him with a zippered cardigan and tie singing "Won't You Be My Neighbor" and talking to puppets in the world of Make-Believe. It's the easiest casting to imagine of all time. The Academy is probably already gearing up... Read More

We spent several days in the mountains of Park City, Utah attending this year's Sundance Film Festival. Want the inside track on which indie films you should put on your movie-watching radar for 2018? Here are ten of our favorites…
Eighth Grade
Watch it because… it's the best coming-of-age movie for right now. Its instantly memorable characters and scenarios are in many ways universal, and not many teen films are able to inject as much honesty and authenticity into every corner as well as writer-director Bo Burnham does with Eighth Grade. Its story, about a girl experiencing the wild ups and awkward downs of her final year of middle school, will be recognizable to anyone who ever felt gutted, alone and unsure of everything at 13. It's... Read More
